MSCW and many others provide relief materials

Imphal, May 26 2020:
To ensure comfortable stay of many Manipuris who are lodged at different quarantine centres in the State, MSCW and many individuals provided relief materials, edibles to different Institution and Community Quarantines Centres opened in Assembly Constituencies.
MSCW distributes sanitary napkins
As part of providing relief materials to people particularly destitute women during a lockdown, staff of Manipur State Commission for Women (MSCW) led by its Chairperson Dr Binota Meinam distributed sanitary napkins (one of the most essential items for girls/women) to girls/women inmates of quarantine centres located at Heingang, Langthabal, Singjamei, Thangmeiband, Thongju and Uripok ACs on May 24 and 25.The Commission will continue to provide sanitary napkins to other centres in the 2nd phase.
CUCO donates
The Churachandpur United Club Organisation, under the sponsorship of A Mema of Tuibong, donated 18 package (case) of mineral water and 2 boxes of egg to the office of Kuki Students' Organisation, Churachandpur today.
KSO Churachandpur president NJ Haoneo Baite, received the donations which are meant for CQCs in the district.
PPE items distributed
Association of Drug Users Manipur (ADUM) and Harm Reduction Network Manipur (HRNM) jointly distributed PPE items of hand sanitizers, face masks and hand gloves to the staff of IDU- Targeted Intervention (IDU-TI) project of Imphal East and Imphal West.
The items were also distributed to drug users living on the streets.
Keishamthong
Sega Road Welfare Club, Keishampat Leimajam Leikai provided breakfast to two quarantine centres opened for Keishamthong Assembly Constituency.
Thoubal
Former Vice-president of BJP Manipur Thokchom Jadumani visited an Institution Quarantine Centre (ICQ) opened at Lamding High School.
Apart from providing hand sanitizers, face masks, hand gloves, dustbin to the ICQ, Jadumani also spread awareness about COVID-19 to the inmates there.
The visit was accompanied by DFWO Dr Ksh Memcha Devi, District Health society Thoubal's Programme Manager Ch Basanta Singh.
Over 80 students returning from Pune are currently quarantining at the said ICQ.
On the other hand, under the aegis of Councillor of Ward no1, Heirok Nagar Panchayat, Ningthoujam Ramananda, disinfectants (sodium chloride) were sprayed in the surrounding areas of the said Ward.
The Councillor also distributed face masks and hand sanitizers in every household of the Ward.
Kakching
Dr Mayanglambam Anjuta distributed relief materials to different quarantine centres opened in Kakching district.
The materials were provided handed over through her parents as she is currently working at Chacha Nehru Bal Chikitsalaya Hospital, Delhi.
The relief materials include PPE kits, hand sanitizers, hand gloves and face masks.
