More Christmas greetings pour in

Governor La Ganesan has conveyed his heartiest greetings to the people of the State, especially to the Christian brethren on the auspicious occasion of Christmas, 2021 which is celebrated on December 25.Christmas is a time to be with family and friends, a time for peace and piety, the Governor stated.
He further wished for the festival to bring hope and happiness to the State.
Speaker, Manipur Legislative Assembly, Y Khemchand Singh extended his wishes to the Christian community with the arrival of this festival.
He urged the people to cherish the will of forgiveness which is the main theme of Christmas and prayed for more peace, unity and love among humankind.
Works Minister Th Biswajit also sent his wishes and stated that Lord Jesus was a true messenger of the Almighty sent with the objective to bring a new world order based on truth, humility, sacrifice, equality, compassion and peace.
He called for a renewal of the spirit of brotherhood, peace and unity in the State.
Stating that Christmas is a golden time to be with family members and friends, Education Minister S Rajen Singh extended his sincere greetings to the Christian community in the State.
Tourism Minister Oinam Lukhoi Singh urged people to follow Christ's teachings of love, compassion and charity with a firm commitment towards the welfare of the State and the country.
Th Satyabrata, Consumer Affairs Minister, too sent his wishes to the Christian community and urged the people to adhere to Jesus Christ's teachings of humanity, compassion, non-violence, peaceful co-existence and build a better society.
Awangbow Newmai, Minister of Forest, Environment & Climate Change, prayed that Christmas further strengthen the bonds of amity in the society.
Former Dy CM Gaikhangam Gangmei prayed for Christmas to usher in an era of peace and harmony that will put an end to all manners of violence and put the State on a path towards progress and abundance.
Student bodies of the State have also conveyed their greetings to the people of the State with the arrival of Christmas.
All Manipur Students' Union (AMSU), All Tribal Students' Union, Manipur (ATSUM) and Socialist Students' Union of Manipur (SSUM) have sent their Christmas greetings with a message of peace, strength and hope.
ATSUM wished for people to do away with hatred, parochialism and communal diatribes and prayed for better sense to prevail.
AMSU wished for the different communities in the State to peacefully coexist without being separated by differences in religion, ethnicity etc.
SSUM also expressed hope for a peaceful State while urging people to follow Christ's teachings.
