Governor, CM lead in Christmas wishes

Governor Dr Najma Heptulla has extended Christmas greetings to the people of Manipur especially to Christian brethen.
Lord Jesus, an apostle of peace and non-violence, showed humanity and path to salvation through love, compassion, mercy, forgiveness and abdication of material elements.
His teachings transcend all barriers and his everlasting message of peaceful co-existence holds true for one and all, the Governor said in a statement.
"While remembering and celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ, let us re-dedicate ourselves to follow the spiritual and ethical path.
Let us follow his values of living in harmony and brotherhood," Governor Najma Heptulla said.
Chief Minister O Ibobi Singh has also wished all the people of the State particularly Christian brethen on the occasion of Christmas.
Now is the time to listen and take the message of Christmas with utmost seriousness, shun involvement of oneself in any evil activity and involve in spreading peace in the State, the Chief Minister said and added, "I earnestly appeal to all the organisations concerned to abandon the path of violence so that every family may celebrate Christmas in the spirit of happiness and joy" .
Speaker Th Lokeshwor Singh while wishing all the people of the State on the occasion of Christmas said that with the celebration of Christmas, may the people belonging to different communities promote love, peace and harmony.
Deputy Speaker Preshow Shimray has also wished all the people a joyous Christmas.
"Christmas is the best gift ever given to mankind by the Almighty God.
Let us deliver good deeds and usher in peace and tranquillity," the Deputy Speaker said.
Dr Chaltolien Amo, Chairman, Hill Areas Committee, has also extended warm greetings to all the citizens of Manipur on the occasion of Christmas.
Rev Mutum Ranjit Singh, Member, Manipur State Minorities Commission, has also extended Christmas greetings to the people of the State and urged UNC to lift the economic blockade.
Kangpokpi AC MLA Nemcha Kipgen, Manipur People's Party and CPI (M-L) Liberation Manipur State Committee, Goodwill Mission for Peaceful Co-existence, Coalition Against Drugs and Alcohol, Secular Alliance of Manipur (SDAM) and Social Development Committee, Keirao Kendra Eastern Side have also extended Christmas greetings to the citizens of Manipur.
