AR conducts careers counselling programme

Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (South) conducted a
lecture on "Army Recruitment" for students of Special Regular English
School, Sabal Leikai in Bishnupur district, Manipur on 22 September
2016.Various platforms to join the Armed Forces and their benefits
available to the present day youth were highlighted in a presentation
given to students followed by weapon display.
After the lecture,
students interacted with the Army and queried about the career
prospects, life in Army and different facets of life in the security
forces.
The event received an overwhelming response with more than 120
students attending the event.
The endeavour awoke a positive vibe in the
minds of the youth and brought them to the runway of career
opportunities in the Indian Army.
The initiative received a good social
response and was appreciated by the civil administration, village heads
and youth.
In another endeavour, 12 BIHAR provided guidance and help
to the students of Choubung Kampany Village Government Primary School
followed by a mid- day meal for them.
The programme started with an
interaction with the students and taking a pledge to make Choubung
Kampany a model village.
It was also disclosed that various developmental projects will be
started in village like conservation of water, opening vocational Centre
for training of youth, installing dustbins, development of medical
facilities, providing agricultural advice through government agencies,
cleaning and beautification of village & developing standard of
education.
Villagers appreciated the steps taken by 12 BIHAR for making
Choubung Kampany a model village.
