BJP workers urged to work with commitment

Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr Sapam Ranjan has called upon all BJP workers to work with commitment for rapid development of the State.
A meeting of BJP Imphal West executive committee was held today in the auditorium of Science Centre, Takyelpat today.
Among others, the meeting was participated by Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr Sapam Ranjan, MLA Karam Shyam, ex-MLA O Lukhoi, BJP State unit vice-president Ch Chidananda, general secretary P Premananda, BJP Imphal West Committee president Ph Phoney and BJP Imphal West District in-charge L Tejkumar.
Speaking at the gathering, Dr Ranjan appealed to BJP workers to ensure that people have thorough knowledge about the different welfare schemes taken up by the Government.
He said that they were holding the meeting to endorse the 10 resolutions adopted at the BJP State executive committee meeting held at Kangpokpi on June 16 .
He maintained that all the 10 resolutions are very significant.
As an acknowledgement of the historical significance of Manipur, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah renamed Mount Harriet of Andaman and Nicobar Islands as Mount Manipur.
The party's Central leadership deserves appreciation for this acknowledgement, Dr Sapam Ranjan said.
It is the duty of each and every worker to inform the people of Manipur about Prime Minister Narendra Modi's initiative to remove the Armed Forces Special Powers Act from Manipur, he asserted.
He also appealed to all the party workers to take the responsibility of informing the masses about Chief Minister N Biren's determination to save the youth from the jaws of intoxicating drugs and eradicate corruption.
