State lawyers who will assist the ongoing Th Manorama Devi death Inquiry Commission in favour of the victim�s family, are set file their respective vakalatnamah (power of attorney) before the Commission tomorrow.
Advocates S lakhikanta, Ch Ngongo and Ph Dolen sharma among other counsels for the victim side, would also seek a date for filing affidavits of the witnesses after filing the vakalatnamah, said Ngongo.
The number of advocates will increase to assist other parties including local meira paibi bodies and local clubs of Bamon Kampu, he said.
Meanwhile, a highly placed source informed that the Commission headed by retired District and Session Judge Ch Upendra Ch Upendra is prepared to examine any witness for tomorrow onwards.
To speed up the proceedings of the panel, the later would record statements notwithstanding their failure to submit affidavits before the Commission in time, it added.
Irilbung police station Officer-in-Charge has already submitted before the Commission two FIRs registered in connection with the killing of 32 year old Manorama by troopers of 17 Assam Rifles and the post mortem report of the deceased.
The panel has also asked the AR authorities to furnish names of the personnel to carry out the operation to arrest Manorama on the intervening night of July 10 and 11.
