FPS agent reasons on alleged foul play

Imphal, April 23 2020:
In an incident where a certain individuals of Khurai Assembly Constituency had alleged foul play in distribution of PDS item of rice, a press meet was held at the resident of Fair Price Shop (FPS) No 88 agent Laishram Ngangbi at Top Khongnangmakhong today.
Speaking to media persons, L Ngangbi said that the individual after having claimed the allowed amount of PDS rice for April had alleged that she was not given the allowed quantity.
On receiving a report that some 397 individuals have not yet received their share of rice, it was announced that such individuals after submitting AADHAR/identity card can collect said rice.
The said individual had handed over IDs of three minor children after which she claimed that the allowed quantity was not given to them.
Ngangbi further informed that out of the 397 individuals, 129 had turned out to be minors as young as 2-3 yrs old.
However, 2 kgs were allowed to them on humanity ground.
The said individual had earlier applied to be an FPS agent and after being declined had incited locals by making false claims.
Such an incident during this difficult time is rather unfortunate, she added.
