KNLF/KNO to observe Oct 23 as Martyr's Day

A self-styled reformer of the KNLF/KNO has today issued a statement declaring that the organisation will henceforth be observing October 23, the day their founder and former Chairman (L) Ngamkholet was murdered 6 years back, as Marty’s Day or Reformation Day even as it called on all ranks and files of the group to observe the same .
Born to (L) Tongkholun Baite and (L) Ngaijavei Baite in a remote village in Chadong Kuki village, Ukhrul district, Manipur, the KNLF founder was shot at point-blank range by two cadres of UKLF after he was captured along with his wife Lhingnei Baite and killed between Nanglem and Chahmol village, near Sajik Tampak, on the October 23, 2011, around 8 pm.
He was mercilessly murdered to uproot the newly formed KNLF, said the statement.
