Imphal, April 20 2013 :
All Ze-liangrong Students' Union (AMN), Zeliangrong Youth Federation (AMN) and Zeliangrong Students' Union, Manipur (ZSUM) have urged all concerned to extend fullest cooperation to the total bandh to be imposed on NHs beginning from midnight of April 21 till the release of Alice Kamei.
A joint statement issued by the three Zeliangrong bodies said that demand for release of the minor school girl is a very serious issue and as such every possible democratic means will be resorted to and demonstrated during the bandh in order to express people's sentiment and to give clear and loud message to RPF/PLA, the State and Central Govt against the prolong captivity.
The people as volunteers while enforcing the total bandh will not hesitate to cause or inflict maximum da-mage to violators or vehicles defying the bandh with consequences and eventuality to be their own responsibility, the joint statement cautioned.
The people's movement to assert their inherent rights to live as independent individual without interference from any quarters will be strictly adhered and there is no way to compromise at any cost, the statement asserted while adding that the RPF/PLA's adamant attitude which amounts to suppressing the voice of the people would never succeed but invoke vigorous public movement.
It further stated that the RPF/PLA, the State and Central Govt should be held responsible for all untoward incidents that may occur during the bandh.
