At least 11 residential quarters of MLAs including official residences of the State Speaker, Chief Minister�s secretariat and a record 54 vehicles were reduced to cinders during yesterday�s protest against the extension of the area of the Naga ceasefire to Manipur.
Seven other vehicles were also damaged.
The Speaker�s bungalow, official residence of MLA Gangmumei Kamei, A Biren and H Sanayaima at Kangla Moat and Chief Minister Secretariat, quarters of MP Th Chaoba, Y Kunjo and Onjamang Haokip located at Babupara were burnt.
The quarters of MLA K Govindas, M Hemanta, Hangkhangpao, Dr Nimaichand Luwang and some other MLAs received damages.
The Lamphel quarters of MLA Paonam Achou, Z Mangibou, Dr Khasim Ruvah and V Hangkhanlian were also damaged in yesterday�s arson.
Minor damages were caused to Former Deputy CM Dr L Chandramani�s vehicles and properties.
A Gypsy and a Maruti Zen kept inside Govindas quarters were burnt.
Fire at MLA Achou�s quarters engulfed two refrigerators, two washing machines, one colour TV, two VCPs, three petrol drums and three steel almirahs.
Mangaibou lost one refrigerator, two colour TVs, four steel almirahs, two LPG cylinders and gold ornaments while Hemanta lost one Maurti Zen, one Mini bus, bicycles and cash.
Dr Ruivah lost three colour TVs, five steel almirahs, rupees three lakhs in cash, one LPG cylinder while one refrigerator, two steel almirahs and three colour TVs were burnt at Hangkhanlian�s quarters.
The buildings were also burnt beyond repair.
The mob fury destroyed one Ambassador car, one Maurti Esteem, one Fiat Car, fax-machine, telephone and TT board while one Gypsy was burnt at Chandramani�s official residence of adjoining quarters.
The Bungalow destroyed six Maruti Gypsys, one Ambassador car and two NV scooters.
