Speaking at the programme, Aribam Syam Sharma said that organising a cultural meet for children is a commendable initiative.
Education system has changed in such a short span of time that children are no longer given the time to enjoy their childhood.
While education is necessary in this competitive world, it is equally important for them to grow up like a healthy child should.
Cultural activities and other outdoor activities should be organised frequently in order to preserve not only our identity but also to reduce academic stress on children, he added.
"Let us mould our children is such a way that they have the freedom to enjoy their childhood as well," he urged.
