Two returning from Wuhan put under house quarantine

Imphal, February 18 2020:
Two Manipuris coming from Wuhan, the capital of Central China's Hubei province and the epicentre of the Covid-19 outbreak, who had been quarantined earlier by the Central Government, were finally flown back to Manipur today and put under house quarantine.
According to an official source from the State Health Department, the two individuals from Imphal West, will be strictly observed for the next 14 days.
Pointing out that the duo had tested negative for the virus when they were quarantined by the Centre, the source also announced that two of the samples which were earlier sent from the State, also came out negative.
On the other hand, the School Education Director has instructed the Zonal Education Officers to take up necessary measures against the virus, apart from directing them to provide holiday to any students who develop fever and cough, so as to prevent any spread.
