Dimapur, Aug 17:
Following their announcement to sever ties with the NGOs, NSF and NPHMR and the recent issuance of the 'Drive out notice' by the Zeliangrong, Konyak and Sangtam region, the NSCN (K) of the Sumi, Chakhesang, Konyak, Angami, Lotha, Sangtam, Ao and Tisary regions today issued 'Quit Notice' to the Tangkul tribe of Manipur with effect from August 17 onwards.
In a press communiqu signed by the officials of the eight regions, the NSCN (K) stated it as a move of renewing the unity and restoration of permanent peace among the Nagas and Nagaland after having borne the brunt and cruelty of the Tangkhuls who were responsible for masterminding terrorism against the NSCN and the innocent Nagas.
The pro bono publico would be implemented with all strict measures to restrict any Tangkhul belonging to the NSCN (IM) or Indian Government employees to reside in Nagaland, the note announced.
"The entire Naga Society is aware of the anti-Naga and anti-Nationalistic egos and pride of the Tangkhuls and so the quit notice has been effectively passed", it said.
Corresponding to the quit notice, NSCN (K) has urged their armies of the said regions to enforce all operative codes to root them out from Naga soil.
