Stage set for LS election in Bpr and Tbl

The stage is set for the people of Bishnupur district to exercise their franchise for the lone Inner Manipur Parliamentary Constituency to be held on April 18.The district has 1,69,976 electorates, including 868 differently abled voters.
The District Election Officer Pawan Yadav informed that adequate arrangements have been made for the smooth conduct of the elections.
He also appealed to the electorates to exercise their franchise without any fear and ensure ethical and informed voting, adding everything has been put in place for the conduct of peaceful poll.
After attending 3 rounds of training on handling EVM and VVPAT machines, 228 polling parties have been dispatched from Mini-Secretariat campus today for their respective polling stations and are expected to reach the polling stations, which are located in 169 places, spreading over the 6 ACs of the district.
The 228 polling stations are looked after by four AROs.

Eight companies of Central Armed Police Force along with civil police, commandos, VDF and home guards have been deployed in the polling stations.
Sector officers, sector magistrates, flying squad members, cVIGIL members and micro-observers will be moving along with security forces and visiting the polling stations to ensure that everything is fine.
Thoubal: Polling personnel along with security personnel assigned for 3 ACs viz 30-Lilong, 31-Thoubal and 32-Wangkhem ACs in Thoubal district for the 2nd phase of polling for Inner Manipur Parliamentary Constituency have left for their respective polling stations from district headquarter, Thoubal today to do their duties in 118 polling stations of the 3 ACs.
Lilong AC has 39 polling stations, Thoubal AC has 40 and Wangkhem AC has 39 polling stations.
Altogether, there are 94,502 voters in the 3 ACs, of which 48,643 are females.
Lilong AC has 15,828 males and 16,623 females voters while Thoubal AC has 14,699 males and 15,828 females voters.
Wangkhem AC has 15,332 males and 16,192 female voters.
239 vehicles (magic) were used for transportation of polling officials and security personnel to their respective polling stations.
Moreover, 5 civil personnel and 6 police personnel will man each polling station while 2 women polling stations and 1 model polling station will be present in each AC.
12 Sector Magistrate will be moving along with the police personnel to ensure peaceful conduct of the election.
For the peaceful conduct of the poll, 6 police personnel led by one SI will man each Normal Polling Station while Vulnerable and Critical polling stations will be given extra security forces (BSF) in addition to the police personnel.
In addition to it, 6 Striker Reserve Commander Team, each team comprising 15 police personnel, 1 Women Police team and 1 Zonal Commander team will also be deployed in the 3 ACs.
Thoubal district has 108 Normal Polling stations, 7 Vulnerable PS (Lilong 4 & Wangkhem 3) and 3 Critical PS (Thoubal 3) .
As extra security measures, Web Casting will be used in 45 polling stations (Wangkhem 3, Thoubal 3 & Lilong 39) .
