Physics question paper leakage Six alleged accused released on bail

Imphal, April 17 2017:
Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM), Imphal West, today, released the six accused of the COHSEM Physics question paper leakage case after PR bonds of Rs 2 lakh each was furnished by two while the remaining four furnished PR bonds of Rs 70,000 each.
Principal/OC of Galaxy Institute of Science, Md Abdur Rahaman s/o Md Nizamuddin of Lilong Atoukhong, Vice Principal/AOC Nongmaithem Mohen s/o N Goura Singh of Kakching Mayai Leikai, SO Gurumayum Premchand Sharma s/o (L) Kanhai of Mayang Imphal Thana Leirak, presently staying at Keishamthong Elangbam Leikai, SI Nameirakpam Romesh Singh s/o N Yaima of Tentha Mayai Leikai, peon/caretaker cum chow-kidar Yumkhaibam Wakeep s/o Y Apik of Lilong Leihaokhong and typist cum office assistant Sultan Ahmed s/o Nizamuddin of Lilong Atoukhong were lodged in police custody till today.
They were produced before the Court of CJM Imphal West under FIR number 122 (4) 2017, Imphal police station under Section 420/380/34 Indian Panel Code and 72 Information Technology Act.
Even though police prayed for further custody remand of all the alleged accused till May 1, the counsel representing the accused persons filed a remand objection with a prayer for release on bail.
The Court passed an order to release Md Abdul Rahaman, Nongmaithem Mohen, Gurumayum Prem-chand and Nameirakpam Romesh on a PR bond of Rs 70,000 and a surety each who shall be a Government employee.
The Court inclined to allow the bail prayer of the other two accused Yum-khaibam Wakeep and Sul- tan Ahmed after furnishing a PR bond of Rs 2 lakh and a Government employee surety each.
The Court also directed the alleged accused persons to assist the investigation officer of the case as and when required and warned them against absconding or leaving Manipur without the permission of the Court.
All the accused were pulled up after investigation by police cyber crime unit.
