3 girls set to take message of crime against women to Delhi on bicycles

Three girl atheletes, Mathurabashimayum Bindiya Deyi (22), Chakpram Naocha Chanu (17) and Sinam Roshni Devi (17) are all set to cycle to New Delhi carrying messages of crime against women and child labour.
They will leave Manipur on December 23 and ride "20 days non-stop" to reach New Delhi.
At Manipur Pres Club today, Mathurabashimayum Bindiya said they will be cycling to New Delhi non-stop on the theme "Stop crime against women and child labour" .
Bindiya said crime against women is increasing and has many forms.
Cyber bullying and cyber Crime against women are also on the rise.
It is not only men who are committing these crimes, women are also committing crime against women, she said.
Their journey aims at educating people about crime against women, she added.
Recalling the bravery and sacrifices of women during the Nupi Lan, she said "we all should stand up to crime against women and children" .
They will leave for Delhi on December 23.Thongam Junreiwon and actor Biju Ningombam will flag them off from Khuman Lampak.
On their way, they will visit the DC office of Imphal West and Imphal East.
Cyclist G Ingobi and Women Against Crime's A Robita have also extended their support, she said.
"We plan to reach Delhi in 20 days.
We will travel through Nagaland, Assam, West Bengal, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh and then reach New Delhi.
We have contacted friends staying in Delhi for our stay in the capital city," said Bindiya.
Mathurabashimayum Bindiya Devi (22) hails from Sagolband Moirang Hanuba Leirak, while Chakpram Naocha Chanu (17) and Sinam Roshni Devi (17) hail from Heikak Mapal Makha Leikai and Kakching.
