Trucks head for Imphal

Imphal, May 16 2023:
About 50 goods laden and POL tracks have reportedly started heading towards Imphal from Jiribam, today.
The trucks reached Nungba safely at around 2 pm.
A late report said that the Imphal bound trucks will resume their journey from Nungba tomorrow due to security reason.
The truck drivers were compelled to take Imphal-Jiribam road for transporting goods due to road closure at Saparmeina and different other places of Kangpokpi by a section of people.
It is further reported that several other trucks which are to bring essential commodities to Imphal are currently stranded at Senapati.
Yesterday, Security Advisor to the Manipur Government Kuldiep Singh held a meeting with a group of transporters to find a way to bring the stranded trucks to Imphal safely.
During the meeting which reportedly ended inconclusive, the transporters apprised the Security Advisor about the threat they regularly face along Imphal-Dimapur Road.
