Speaking to media persons, Lamminlun Singsit, general secretary Kuki Inpi Kangpokpi said that the joint meeting was conducted to minutely discuss the various developments after an agreement was inked with the Government over the issue on October 7 late evening.
Some of the new developments are 'highly embarrassing and unwise' to witness in a state of diverse community like Manipur, he added.
He continued that as a peace loving community "it is unfortunate to see some taking the NSU Haraothel issue in a very communal way," and added that this is clear from the discussion hours in TV channels and social media platform.
This is in addition to the 'sinister approach' by the Government and the valley based civil society organizations, he added.
Singsit continued that considering the communal intent of various organizations and individuals in interpreting the issue, it was decided to constitute a Joint Action Committee to spearhead the legitimate fight over NSU Haraothel.
The formation of the committee shall be executed within a few days and the new committee will pursue further course of action over the issue, he added.
The Kuki Inpi and other CSO leaders did not disclose details of the meeting stating that the JAC when formed would disclose its further course of action.
