Chandel, August 13 2016 :
Vehicular movement along the Imphal-Moreh road was paralysed for the third consecutive day due to the indefinite bandh called by the JAC against the killing of M Jamkholal Zou @ George.
Bandh supporters enforced the bandh near Senam village and H Kotlenphai village along Imphal-Moreh section of the National Highway and prevented vehicles from proceeding further.
However media, emergency services and religious related matters were relaxed during the bandh.
As the indefinite bandh along the Imphal-Moreh section of National Highway 102 entered day 3, endorsements for the agitation poured in from several CSOs.
The Hangngul Pungpi Organisation, Sugnu Lamhang Block in a statement, has strongly condemned the State Government and other authority concerned for not taking up necessary action against the culprits.
While urging the State Government and other organizations concerned to book the culprits, the organisation said it will support the JAC bandh.
In a separate release, the Gunpi Area Kuki Chiefs' Association (GAKCA) also pledged its support to the ongoing Imphal-Moreh highway indefinite bandh called by the JAC against the brutal killing of M Jamkholal alias George Zou and appealed to the State Government to look into the matter and fulfil the demands of the JAC at the earliest.
