Two from India shot dead at Tamu

Moreh, July 05 2022:
At least two Tamils were shot dead by unknown assailants in Tamu town, Myanmar today at around 11 am.
The assailants reportedly came on a two wheeler and fired towards the two Tamils who went to Tamu for some work.
The deceased have been identified as P Mohan (28), s/o late Perumal from Moreh Ward no 2 and M Iyarnar (35), s/o Murga from Moreh Ward no 4 and their corpses have been deposited at Tamu Hospital.
At the time of filing this report, a number of Moreh denizens were waiting for the Myanmar authority to hand over the corpses at Moreh Ward no 2 Sunrise Ground while CSOs in the border town filed a missing report to Moreh police.
As per sources, P Mohan, an auto driver was the breadwinner of his family and he was married only two weeks back while M Iyarnar was a trader.
Denouncing the murder, shops, hotels and other establishments at the border town were closed today.
The motive of the attack is not yet established.
Heroin seized : A team of NAB Manipur officials arrested one person along with 215 gram of heroin from Dingku Road near Khuman Lampak, yesterday.
The arrested person has been identified as Md Manojuddin (35), of Kshetri Awang Leikai.
