Thoubal, March 05 2020:
One teacher and over 20 students sustained injuries when some candidates appearing in HSLC Exam 2020 raised an uproar and vandalised Lilong Higher Secondary Madrassa (exam centre) today.
Students/candidates of six schools of Lilong gave the HSLC Exam at the centre.
As soon as the last bell of today's examination was rung, students giving the exam on the first floor of the school suddenly threw down desks, benches and white boards in addition to smashing windows and doors of some classrooms.
The students then ran down and damaged vehicles of teachers and BSEM officials parked inside the school campus by pelting stones.

The school's Economics teacher RK Milan and over 20 students sustained injuries in the violent uproar.
Altogether two cars, two vans and four two-wheelers were also damaged although the situation was brought under control with the arrival of security forces.
Officer in-charge of the examination centre MA Quadir told media persons that the HSLC Exam which started on February 17 was going on peacefully at the exam centre.
However, some students giving the exam on the first floor of the school raised an uproar all of a sudden as soon as the last bell of today's exam was rung, Quadir said.
He then appealed to all concerned teachers and guardians to send their students/wards to examinations only after teaching them on how to behave properly in exam centres so as to avoid such ugly incidents in future.
According to information culled from the spot, all the students were checked at the entrance gate of the school.
Later, four flying squads of BSEM too came to the exam centre.
After three flying squads left, one stayed back and checked the students.
As around 30 minutes were lost due to the checking done by the flying squad, the OC assured that some grace time would be given to all the candidates.
However, the grace time was given to some classrooms while in other classrooms, the exam was concluded at the end of the scheduled time.
This enraged some students and they revolted by vandalising the exam centre, according to information culled from the spot.
