Lamka, July 04 2013:
Pursuing its demand for a political dialogue between the Government and Kuki armed groups under SoO, the KSDC has today announced resumption of their stir from Monday.
The KSDC's agitation this time around will be in two phases first a general strike for 36 hours and followed by 48 hours of economic blockade.
Addressing the media here today, KSDC spokesperson, K Khongsai said the general strike will begin at 8 am of July 8 (Monday) while the economic blockade will immediately be in effect the moment the general strike concludes at 5 pm of July 9 (Tuesday).
The economic blockade unlike its preceding agitation will not be for an indefinite period and will eventually end at 5 pm of July 11 (Thursday).
Khongsai has requested all like-minded organisations, educational institutions, the media and sympathizers to support the movement for a peaceful solution.
