2 surrender to DESAM

Democratic Students' Alliance of Manipur (DESAM) on Saturday claimed that two persons involved in damaging the students' union office room of Birmangol College, Sawongbung in Imphal East had been surrendered to the alliance.
Soram Akash (21) and Shamurailatpam Lothar (21), both residents of Sawongbung Thongkhong, were involved in breaking the student's union office room on February 15 last, DESAM secretary general P Premananda told reporters at the alliance office at Keishampat here.
He said Soram Akash completed graduation from Birmangol College in 2012 while Shamurailatpam Lothar was pursuing BSc fifth semester in the college.
Premananda claimed that six persons were involved in the incident of vandalism and asked the other accomplices to surrender to the alliance quickly.
The DESAM leader also appealed to all not to commit such acts in future.
He further urged the college authority as well as the concerned Police Station to take appropriate action against all the individuals involved in the crime.
