State BJP gears up for ADC polls

The State unit of the BJP has begun holding a series of meeting at its office located at Keishampat to ensure the party's triumph in the ensuing ADC election which is scheduled to be held on May 30 .
Besides, the BJP has reconstituted a State Election Committee with 15 prominent tribal leaders of the BJP.
In a press meet held at BJP office today, M Asnikumar, general secretary (Adm) BJP, Manipur Pradesh stated that State office bearers of BJP, ex- presidents and morcha presidents held a consultative meeting in connection with the coming ADC election.
A State Election Committee of the party has been reconstituted with 15 prominent tribal leaders of the BJP, he said.
Asnikumar added that in place of the BJP constitution, a State Coordination Committee was formed consisting of seven members including State president Th Chaoba, Sh Shantikumar, Dr H Borbabu, M Bhorot, Sh Premananda Sharma, S Tikendra Singh and M Asnikumar.
"The committee is to coordinate and bring about better understanding and cooperation among the State leaders and workers", said Asnikumar.
He further said that the meetings also discussed the various issues faced by the State and also notified that intending candidates for the ADC election can apply for BJP ticket within April 15 .
For the upcoming ADC election, BJP will come out with its election manifesto by April 10.It will incorporate major issues concerning socio-economic problems, governance deficit, welfare and developments in all the six autonomous district councils, he added.
Further, he stated that BJP will try to resolve and bring out solutions with a vision to change Manipur.
Asnikumar added that BJP State president Th Chaoba will submit a detailed report of misgovernance in the State to the National leaders at a National executive meeting to be held at Bengaluru on April 3 .
He urged the public to support BJP's endeavour to ensure free and fair ADC polls.
He also said that State office bearers of the BJP have been reinstated for smooth functioning of the party organization.
National BJP president Amit Shah, Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh and National general secretary BJP, coordination/NE States Ram Madhav will visit Manipur on April 16 to study the political scenario and strengthen the party, he added.
