Pre-recruitment training begins, security meet held

Mantripukhri Battalion of 9 Sector Assam Ri-fles/IGAR (South) on Monday launched a pre-recruitment training for young aspirants willing to join Indian Armed Forces at COB Litan.
According to PRO IGAR (S), a total of 14 candidates joined on Monday and the strength is expected to increase in coming days.
The aim of the training is to create awareness among the youth about various ongoing recruitments and to guide candidates about the document process, exam preparation and physical training.
Meanwhile, Churachandpur Battalion of IGAR (South) conducted a security meet with village GBs, local leaders and villagers at Hengkot village in Churachandpur district on Monday to discuss the need for maintaining peace and harmony in the area.
According to the PRO, the discussion focused on the events happening in upcoming months and assured all types of assistance to create a better peaceful environment.
A total of 30 individuals from villages like Hengkot, Tuilaphai, Songpi and surrounding areas took part in the interaction.
Meanwhile, Loktak Battalion of IGAR (South) interacted with meira paibi, a women social welfare association of the Moirang area in Bishnupur district on Sunday to promote good relations and bonhomie amongst the Assam Rifles and local populace especially existing women organisations.
The event was attended by meira paibi members of Sendra and "Thanga areas of Bishnupur district.
The meeting was chaired by company commander, Sendra Company Operating Base.
The meeting enabled a free and willing interaction between Assam Rifles and meira paibi members wherein a healthy discussion took place with respect to overall benefit and betterment of the society.
