23rd raising day of KYKL observed at all unit camps

The 23rd raising day of the proscribed KYKL was held all over its camps at its at Ghqs, AHQs of MYL, BHQs, unit camps, transit camps and fighting unit camps today.
Informing this in a statement today, the outfit said that the main function was held at the 1st Bn Hqs of the MYL wherein chairman of the outfit N Oken presided and president of KCP, Ksh Laba Meitei and general secretary of KCP H Poirei attended as the chief guest and guest of honour respectively.
N Oken unfurled the flag of the outfit while cadres of the MYL paid their salute.

The day was also observed at the 2nd Bn Hqs of the MYL wherein vice president of the outfit Toijam Ibochou presided and foreign and regional affairs secretary Lanngamba Mangang, chief of army staff of the KCP H Krity and adjutant of KYKL L Ingba attended as the guests of honour.
Salute was paid to the party's flag after it was unfurled by the chief guest, said the statement.
At the 3rd Bn of MYL central committee member of the KYKL H Khambaton, senior officers, Bn commanding officers and cadres of MYL took part in observing the day.
At all the camps where the day was observed the cadres observed a two minute silence to pay respect to all those who have laid down their lives in the course of the movement.
The raising day celebration was also held at different parts of the State.
At the 1st Bn Hqs, where the main function was held, the publicity and research secretary of the outfit read out the message issued by the outfit's chairman in connection with the 23rd raising day celebration.
Addressing the day, acting chief of army staff of the outfit, K Nimai said that revolutionary movement cannot be premised on fleeting moments and added that revolutionary movements should be based on the true spirit of revolutionary movements.
In his address on the occasion, president of KCP, Ksh Laba Meitei said that the revolutionary movement cannot be discarded as it leads and guides the people and added that all should take it upon themselves to correct whatever wrongs that may have been committed in the past to make the movement stronger and more meaningful.
Acknowledging the contributions of chairman N Oken to the revolutionary movement, general secretary of KYKL, K Kourou said that all should work towards implementing the suggestions and contributions of the chairman.
General secretary of KCP H Poirei said that the message of the KYKL leader to work for the united progress of WESEA is on the right track and added that the gradual erosion of Kangleipak and countries of WESEA is due to systematic erosion of their economy.
To save the identity of the region and the land, it is imperative that steps be taken up to strengthen the productive force of the people.
Delivering his presidential address, N Oken gave his insights on the many issues besetting the land and the revolutionary movements launched and urged all to unite and put on track the productive capabilities of the people through the revolutionary movements.
It is only by asserting the identity of a united WESEA that the onslaught of Hindutva can be defeated, remarked N Oken.
The KYKL acknowledged the support and co-operation of the people in making the observation of the day a success.
