AICC vice-president Rahul Gandhi today made a strong case for the women and minorities of the country and their empowerment through economic alleviation.
Taking part in a group discussion programme of young Congress MLAs, Ministers, Parliamentary Secretaries and youth Congress leaders coming from all over the country at Jindal House, New Delhi today, Rahul Gandhi advised all the delegates to give special attention towards empowerment of women and minorities.
Rahul Gandhi, often tipped to be the Prime Ministerial candidate of Congress party, called upon the gathering to be sensitive enough to all issues about women and minorities across the country.

He also suggested the Congress delegates to take the message of the crucial importance of economic alleviation and empowerment of women and minorities to the masses at grassroots level.
Apart from being just messengers, all Congress leaders, particularly youth leaders need to work with dedication for empowerment of women and minorities, economically and politically, Rahul Gandhi asserted.
He further underscored the immense roles of youth and women in the overall development of the country.
The group discussion programme which started at 9.30 am continued till 2 pm and Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee was represented by IPR Parliamentary Secretary K Meghachandra, YAS Parliamentary Secretary M Prithiviraj, Minor Irrigation Parliamentary Secretary Amin Shah and Manipur Pradesh Youth Congress Committee president Amir Hussain.
