BJP leader lambasts Congress Goverment

Alleging lack of development initiative in Manipur during the 10-year rule of the Congress party, BJP national secretary Kiran Maheshwari said highlight of the Congress regime was sky-rocketing of prices of essential commodities.
Accusing the Congress Government of imperilling the people by allowing the economic blockade to persist for over 100 days last year, Kiran posed as what effective measure Congress Government in both the Centre and state initiated to ensure the people had access to essential goods at affordable rates.
Speaking to newspersons at the Nityaipat Chuthek office of state unit BJP today, the party's central leader confided that in every BJP-ruled States consumer items are sold at the price fixed by the Government in addition to regular payment of monthly old age and widow pensions.
Further stating that the BJP-ruled States are effectively implementing education policies on the pattern of mandatory education upto Class VIII, she regretted that the education system in Manipur has failed miserably due to lack of effort by the Congress Government to bring back students in Government-run educational institutions.
The only sign of advancement in Manipur is corruption, alleged Maheshwari while adding that development has become a far-fetched dream for the people under the Congress rule.
Calling for a change in governance, the BJP leader cautioned that bartering votes for money will only lead to further economic disparity.
She also assured the people peace, development and prosperity in case BJP is voted to power in Manipur.
