Kala Akademi fellows, award winners named

The Manipur State Kala Akademi (MSKA) has announced the award winners in different categories and fellows for 2013 of the Akademi.
According to a press release issued by the secretary of MSKA, Laishram Sama-rendra Singh and Takhel- bchangbam Nganba Sharma are Fellows for 2013 of the Akademi.
Various award winners are RK Thambalsana Devi (Dance), Ranjit Adhikari-mayum (Dance), Konsam Ongbi Sanahanbi Devi (Dance), Haobam Sumati Devi (Music), Yumnam Jatra Singh (Music), Laishram Ongbi Labango Leima (Music), Heisnam Ongbi Indu Devi (Theatre), Sougrakpam Hemanta Singh (Shumang Leela), Phuritshabam Chandra Singh (Traditional Theatre - Goura Leela), Moirangthem Cha Mani Singh (Thang-ta), Amom Lala Singh (Other forms of art-Wari leeba), Irengbam Ibobi Singh (Arangpham), Golmei Sanajao Kabui (Tribal culture) and Yangnu Kom (Tribal culture) .
Winners in the category of Young Talent Award are Yumlembam Gopi Devi (Dance), Mayanglambam Sobhamani Singh (Music), Yumnam Nilachandra Singh (Shumang Leela), Guru-mayum Asharani Devi (Thang-ta), Palungbam Rani-bala Devi (Wari leeba), Th Elimson Maram (Tribal Culture) .
Winners of the Akademi Awards for Literature are Naorem Bidyasagar (Creative Work) for his poetry Khungang Amasung Refugee; Longjam Joychandra (Critical work) for his essay Manipuri Sahitya; Aribam Kumar Sharma (translation) for his work Saratchandra: Man and Artist.
The winners of Akademi Awards for Fine Arts are P Premananda Singh (Sculpture with the title Living Shadow in wood), and S Bubhaneshwar Singh (Painting with the title Remember in acrylic) .
The Akademi Fellow carries a cash prize of Rs 1 lakh.
The Akademi Award and Akademi Young Talent Award carry a cash prize of Rs 50,000 and Rs 25,000 respectively, it said.
