IOC stops refill supply to Manipur Thoubal Gas

Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) has stopped supplying LPG refills to Manipur Thoubal Gas after controversies arose within the management of the agency.
The stopping of refills supply to the agency has affected about 8000 LPG consumers.
An official of the IOC Divisional Retail Sales Office, Imphal said that LPG refill supply to Manipur Thoubal Gas ceased from June 15 as controversies arose within the management of the agency.
The last time Manipur Thoubal Gas distributed LPG refills to its customers was on June 11 .
At the same time, the IOC has initiated special arrangement for the 8000 customers of the agency�like transferring the customers to nearest LPG distributors� as the controversy within the management of the agency remained unsolved, the official said.
Transferring the customers to the nearest LPG distributors would take at least two weeks time.
Those customers who are not transferred to the nearest or other distributors would not get refilled LPG cylinders.
Two distributors where the consumers of Manipur Thoubal Gas are to be transferred have already been identified.
The two distributors are Athokpam Indane Gas Service and Rbd Indane, the official said.
The consumers of Manipur Thoubal Gas will be transferred to Athokpam Indane while the consumers of Manipur Thoubal Gas, Singjamei would be transferred to Rbd Indane.
Works for transferring the consumers on base-by-base manner has been initiated.
The transferring of consumers� after obtaining the approval of IOC LPG Area Manager, Silchar, may take at least two weeks time, the official added.
