Five days online refresher course concluded

India's first five days online 20 hours refresher course on mediation, jointly organised by Manipur State Legal Services Authority (MASLSA) and Mediation and Conciliation Project Committee, Supreme Court of India (MCPC) successfully concluded on yesterday.
The programme which was inaugurated by Justice Kh Nobin Singh, Executive Chairman, Manipur SLSA on October 1 was attended by 21 trained advocate mediators of Manipur.
The senior trainers of Delhi and Punjab & Haryana gave insightful analysis of mediation in tune of the changing times of COVID-19 pandemic with emphasis on online mediation, said MASLSA in a release.
Mention was also made of the form of mediation which was pre-existing in Manipur, before the present legal system; and which found general acceptance in the society, it said.
The senior trainers appreciated the continuation of such mediation by the Legal Aid Clinics and the new initiatives which was being taken up by MASLSA, it added.
On the last day and the concluding session of the training programme, Mezivolu T Therieh, Member Secretary, MCPC thanked all the participants, the trainers and Manipur SLSA for their active participation.
Further, Gaiphulshillu Golmei, Member Secretary, MASLSA expressed her heartfelt gratitude and thanked MCPC and all the experienced trainers for their prompt response and readiness in organizing the said programme and for making the programme a grand success.
