Active cases rise to 9 with 2 more

Imphal, June 01 2022: The total number of Covid-19 active cases rose to nine after two persons were confirmed and one Covid-19 positive individual was discharged during the last 24 hours following recovery.

With two individuals who belong to Imphal East and Imphal West confirmed positive out of 78 samples tested for Covid-19 during the last 24 hours, the State logged a daily positivity rate of 2.6 per cent.

However, there is no report of any Covid related death during the last 24 hours even though the pandemic had already claimed 2120 lives in the State.

The cumulative number of Covid-19 positive cases in the State stands at 1,37,240 (general population 1,32,226 and Central security personnel 5,014) .

This figure includes 1,35,111 recovered cases (general population 1,30,104 and Central security personnel 5,007) and nine active cases, all civilians.

The recovery rate is 98.45 per cent.

The cumulative number of Covid vaccine doses administered in the State has reached 29,00,068 (first dose 15,70,225, second dose 12,32,311 and precautionary dose 97,532) .

Till Tuesday, 61.88 per cent of the State's total eligible population has received the first dose of Covid vaccine while 52.28 per cent has been given both the first and second dose.
