After a while, Additional SP (Operation) Imphal West, S Ibomcha arrived and held a talk with the incensed protestors.
Speaking to media persons, one of the DPC faced candidates said that viva-voce for some selected candidates was held after conducting physical test for the recruitment.
He further said that viva-voce for candidates of Ukhrul, Senapati, Tamenglong and Chandel was kept on hold owing to the imposition of election code of conduct for the 11th State Assembly election.
He urged the Government to resume viva-voce for the remaining candidates and declare the recruitment results at the earliest.
