Hatta body urges

Expressing concern over frequent gathering of mob in the past six-seven months at Hatta Golapati area, United Golapati Hatta Development Council (UGHDC) has urged all concerned to consult local clubs and organisations before staging any agitation at the area.
In a press conference held at Gani English School, UGHDC secretary Haji Arafat Ali said that original residents of Hatta Golapati area were not responsible for the recent protests and mob action at the area.
It was mostly carried out by outsiders who are staying at the area in various rented houses, he alleged.
In this regard, he also urged different organisations and individuals to discuss any issue with the organisations and clubs of Hatta Golapati before staging any protest.
He further said that frequent protests and police action have given restlessness to the people of the area especially children, students, aged persons and people with ill health.
Saying that Imphal East District Police have already directed the house owners to submit the details of their respective tenants in prescribed forms, the secretary said that UGHDC would not entertain the plea of the house owners who do not provide details of their tenants to police.He added a joint meeting for different organisations and clubs was held today.
Minuthong Hafiz Hatta Social Welfare Union president Md Akhtar Hussein and Hatta Makha Leikai Development president Md Rahamatullah were present at the meeting, he said.
