K cadre lays down arms

An active member of the Naga rebel group NSCN (K) laid down arms before the CRPF Inspector General of Police Madan Singh Raghava while troops of central paramilitary forces netted two activists of different armed outfit.
apart from the CRPF IGP MS Raghava, the surrender ceremony held this morning at the Langjing headquarters of Manipur/Nagaland sector CRPF was also attended by senior officers of the CRPF, including the 86 Bn Commandant, who is informed to have facilitated the surrender of WS Shem Anal s/o (L) WS Tungring of Khubung Khunou village under Chakpikarong police station of Chandel district.
A self styled Sergeant Major of the NSCN (K) Shem Anal (Army No.16028) handed over one 9 mm pistol with three live rounds.
On the otherhand, a PRO IGAR (S) release said troops of 23 Assam Rifles and 18 Sikh under the aegis of IGAR (S) launched a joint operation at Patsoi area today during which one KYKL activist namely Akoijam Chinglen Meitei alias Athouba alias Chalamba (24) of Patsoi Part-III and KCP (Nando) group's Naorem Imo alias Chathoi Yaku Singh (26) s/o (L) N Kunjumony Singh of Patsoi Pt-I were apprehended.
Both have been handed over to Patsoi police station.
Meanwhile, troops of 31 Assam Rifles of 26 Sector pulled up two drug peddlers from Moreh Ward No.1 on August 25 and reportedly recovered 300 kgs of MB-Cof and Actipid tablets from the possession of the two, who have been handed over to Narcotics Control Bureau, Imphal.
The arrested duo, according to the PRO IGAR (S) release, are Jacob (25) s/o Throma of Moreh Ward No.1 and Zothanmawla alias Moya (28) s/o Kwalvela of Sabha-2, Tamu in Myanmar.
