Distributed relief materials to about 1,50,000 households: BJP COVID-19 Combat Team

While claiming that nearly 5,400 BJP volunteers are actively engaged in combat against the COVID-19 pandemic in the State, BJP Manipur Pradesh COVID-19 Combat Team has claimed that it had already distributed relief materials to about 1,50,000 households in the State.
Speaking to media persons while distributing relief materials to 250 widows at Kalibari Mandir, Thangal Bazar today, coordinator of the combat team, Pangambam Premananda Meitei conveyed that the relief materials were distributed in coordination with BJP, Central District Committee and Bazar Community Board as part of BJP's "Feed the needy people" campaign.
He also said that BJP Manipur Pradesh COVID-19 Combat Team have already reached out to 1, 50, 000 households in the State so far.
Further stating that there are around 5,400 BJP volunteers under 12 district organizations and 60 mandals, Premananda maintained that the BJP volunteers are working at their best to contain the pandemic and also to address the hardships being faced by the people during the lockdown in the State.
He asserted that the State's BJP, Mahila Morcha team had made more than 50,000 face masks and added that the same articles/items have been distributed to health care workers and police personnel along with food and sanitizers by the volunteers of BJP, Mahila Morcha and BJP, Yuva Morcha.
Saying that BJP volunteers have been also actively engaging in creating awareness about maintaining social distancing and other preventive measures to the masses, the coordinator lauded the people who extended monetary assistance and other support to the team.
The combat team also provided edibles to over 100 houesholds under Irengbam Gram Sabha.
Meanwhile, an organization called Shyam Mast Mandal has also conveyed that they will provide relief materials to 300 people at Thangal Bazar on Wednesday.
