Imphal, July 25 2009:
The proscribed PREPAK has lambasted all the MLAs for endorsing the report given by Chief Minister in the House regarding the shooting incident at BT Road on July 23 .
A press release issued by the outfit's secretary in-charge of the department of publicity and propaganda, Aheiba Angom asked the MLAs how could they accept the CM's report without knowing who fired the bullets that killed innocent Rabina and injured five other people.
Accepting the CM's report even before receiving post mortem report has raised a serious question on position of MLAs as people's representatives.
People should fight collectively against the excesses committed by commandos as well as against the stand adopted by MLAs, the outfit exhorted.
The tragic incident which claimed the live of a young mother besides injuring five other people was caused by indiscriminate firing by police commandos who were chasing an individual, it alleged.
It was the usual show of strength by commandos just to please O Ibobi against those who could not fight back, the outfit asserted.
