Imphal, December 24 2015 :
Even as wrongdoings committed by Canchi Indane Service on one of its consumers have been detected, Emoinu Gas Service, Jiribam has assured 10 refills to each and every consumer who make their bookings and take refills regularly by March next year.
One Jogeshmani, a consumer of Canchi Indane Service received an LPG refill after he made the booking two/three months earlier but records submitted to the IOC claimed that Jogeshmani received the refill on the day he made the booking.
Jogeshmani (consumer no CX4069755) received one refill on May 22 this year after he made the booking on February 13 .
However, records submitted by the distributor to IOC claimed that Jogeshmani made the booking on May 22 .
Jogeshmani received another refill on August 18 after he made the booking on May 30.But again, official records claimed that the booking was done on the day the refill was issued.
He received one more refill on December 1 after the booking was done on August 25.As done earlier, records submitted by the distributor to IOC say that the booking was done on December 1 itself.
This is a clear testimony that the dates on which consumers make LPG bookings are irrelevant with the distributors entering alternative dates based on their own conveniences.
The same consumer made an online booking on December 15 and the booking order number or reference number is 900079.On May 22, one e-mail was sent from the IOC informing that a cash memo of Rs 780 for one refill has been generated.
However, when the consumer went to the distributor the next day to claim the refill, the distributor refused to issue any refill.
In the evening at around 5.18, the consumer received another e-mail informing that the Indane refill has been cancelled citing 'closed door' .
On the other hand, Emoinu Gas Agency manager K Gobardhon told The Sangai Express that the charge for new LPG connection (single cylinder) is Rs 6500.This amount is inclusive of gas stove and other equipment.
No double cylinder has been issued for new connections.
is It being considered to reduce the charge for single cylinder connection from next year.
Many consumers have now received six/seven refills this year and they are the ones who make their bookings regularly.
All the consumers who make their bookings and take refills regularly would be issued 10 refills each by March 31 next year.
Meanwhile, a press release issued by Emoinu Gas Agency contended that the Jiribam Consumers Club (JCC) never enquired or investigated into LPG refill distribution by the agency.
Nonetheless, an informal talk was held with four/five elderly persons regarding refill distribution.
There was no instance of distributing refills whimsically nor did the agency indulge in any form of favouritism or nepotism, it added.
