AIMOL body lauds NSCN (IM)

Aimol Tribe Union (ATUM) has expressed gratitude to NSCN/GPRN for the outfit's endless effort to accept Aimol as a Naga tribe, which is a long held aspiration of the community.
An ATUM press statement made a clarification on the August 22 incident of Ngairong Aimol village and said that Manglun alias Walunglua Aimol from Ngairong, who was killed in the incident, was a PRO of United Kuki Liberation Front (UKLF) who was appointed on June 13, 2015 at Ngairong Village by the outfit.
Those who were injured in the incident�Parithoi Aimol from Khunjai is a UKLF sergeant major and Joseph Kuki and Asiak Aimol are all cadres of the group�the statement claimed.
The union asked the families of these UKLF activists why they are charging the NSCN (IM) by claiming that they are innocent people.
It clarified that no one is using any force to merge the Aimol to the Naga family.
The UKLF team that fired at the Aimol Tribe president's resident on July 2, 2015 was led by Manglun alias Walunglua who died on Sunday, the union claimed.
It also claimed that on May 31, 2015 at around 9:54 pm, Aditya Kapoor Major of AR E coy Chandel along with masked UKLF activist Jacob alias Thangboi shot and killed M Ruisoting Aimol with an AK 47 rifle and three other persons were also seriously injured in the attack.
And on August 6, 2015 at Pallel bazaar, two women leaders of Aimol Kumbirei village were deliberately hit by an Activa scooter two UKLF cadres namely Letkhothang Aimol and Lamkhothang Baite who were traveling together on the vehicle.
After the incident, the two UKLF were arrested by the public and later they were picked up by NSCN (IM) .
