Employees of ADC Senapati celebrate fulfilment of pension scheme

Senapati, November 19 2019:
Employees of Autonomous District Council, Senapati celebrated 'Thanks Giving cum fulfilment of Pension Scheme' at Conference Hall, ADC Senapati.
The programme was held in the presence of John Hingba, vice-Chairman ADC Senapati; executive members; ADC members, staffs of the District Council including officials representing the members from All Manipur ADC Employees Pension Demand Committee (AMADCEPDC) .
Mentioned may be made that in an order issued by the Secretariat, Hills Department, GoM, dated February 2, 2019, it stated to implement Pension Scheme to the employees of 6 ADCs of the state and was approved on December 4, 2018 in the State Cabinet Meeting.

In another order issued from the Secretariat of Finance Department (Pay Implementation Cell), GoM, it had mentioned to amend the Scheme for payment of Pension to the employees of District Councils of 6 Autonomous Hill Districts of Manipur issued under notifications of even number dated 22/08/2006 and 08/01/2008 where the scheme shall apply to the employees of the District Councils who were appointed prior to 01/01/2005 that satisfy certain conditions.
L Ashihrii Pfoze, president, ADC Teachers' Association, Senapati expressed gratitude to God to have granted the wish of the people where more than 3000 families under 6 ADCs of the state would be benefited by the scheme.
He also expressed gratitude to Tribal Affairs & Hills Minister, N Kayisii for understanding the need of the people who had extended help from the beginning till the fulfilment of the scheme.
The president also paid his respect to all the senior officials under ADC for their help towards achieving the goal.
Kh Thaisii, DFO, ADC, Senapati who also serve as Associate Chairman, AMADCEPDC briefed the gathering about various challenges faced by the demand committee.
He expressed gratitude to the State Govt led by N Biren and his cabinet for understanding the need of the people.
Calling a landmark record for all the ADC employees of Manipur, the Associate Chairman mentioned that 398 employees from ADC, Senapati would enjoy the scheme in the first phase.
R Zangbell, DAO, ADC, Senapati expressed happiness that he was appointed in 1982 and could retire happily.
John Hingba, vice-Chairman, ADC Senapati mentioned his unhappiness over lack of man power and non-creation of job opportunity in the office though many had retired/expired from the office.
He also urged all to join hands together in developing the region.
