Unknown woman succumbs at CHC Kpi

An unidentified dark complexioned woman sporting a boy cut hairstyle suspected to be mentally challenged who was found yesterday evening in an extremely weak condition near Bongmol village in Sadar Hills died this evening at CHC Kangpokpi.
The woman, supposed to be about 60-65 years, was found in an extremely weak state by Kangpokpi police near Bongmol village alongside National Highway 2 at around 6 pm yesterday evening.
She was extremely weak when the police found her supposedly for not having food for the past many days.
Kangpokpi police took her to Kangpokpi PS immediately and provided her food and medical assistance during the night.
However, she was admitted at CHC Kangpokpi after her health condition deteriorated today at around 1 pm.
Doctors and nurses at CHC Kangpokpi gave her proper medical treatment while bathing her with assistance from Kangpokpi police women personnel.
However, she succumbed at around 6 pm.
Till the time of filing this report, Kangpokpi police were in in the process to deposit the mortal remains of the woman at RIMS morgue for identification and post mortem.
The deceased was said to be loitering alongside National Highway 2 since the past many days.
She only responded in Manipuri language.
Kuki Women Union, Sadar Hills and Kangpokpi Women Welfare Organization wrapped a traditional shawl over the body as a mark of respect and humanity.
