Imphal, October 17 2011:
Jiribam Higher Secondary School Students' Union has demanded the State Government to send adequate number of teachers to the school at the earliest.
Saying that around 878 students of the school are not getting required education due to acute shortage of teachers, the union expressed resentment on Government's negligence in this regard.
Although the Government had promised to send the required number of teachers on many occasions in the past, nothing has been materialised so far, said a press release.
The union also pointed out that quality of education cannot be enhanced in the State with the proper functioning of some selected schools in Imphal alone.
It also warned that the union would not remain silent this time if the demand is not fulfilled at the earliest.
The union said that anybody who intends to teach Commerce in Class XI and XII in the school on contract basis may contact the AMSU headquarters.
