Stock up all ATMs: MCCI

The Manipur Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MCCI) has written to the Chief Secretary to instruct the bank officials to keep adequate cash at ATMs operating in the State.
It also appealed to the Chief Secretary to coordinate with GST, Council and the authority concerned to extend the time of filing and payment of GST until the restoration of internet service.
In its letter, the MCCI apprised the Chief Secretary that the unrest in Manipur has badly affected the supply chain system of essential items leading to the scarcity and price hike of commodities of daily use.
The MCCI urged the Chief Secretary to stabilize the supply chain system at the earliest.
Saying that cash transaction is now the only possible way of doing business and procurement of essential commodities due to the suspension of the internet service, it appealed to the Chief Secretary to instruct the bank officials to keep adequate cash at ATMs operating in the State.
Further stating that business houses of Manipur are also facing problem in filing GST, the MCCI appealed to the Chief Secretary to coordinate with the GST Council to extend the time for filing and payment of GST until the restoration of the internet service.
