KWCare presents first 'Children Park' at Kpi DHQs

From picking litters along National Highway to cleanliness drive along the river bank of Kanggui River to tree plantations, the Kanggui We Care (KWCare), a non-political, non-profitable organization present the first ever 'Children Park' as a gift to the children of Kangpokpi DHQs and its surrounding areas today.
Christened 'Kanggui Children Park', the first of its kind at Kangpokpi DHQs, was proudly inaugurated by ADC Sadar Hills Chairman, Haokholal Hangshing in the presence of Lunseh Kipgen, Chairman, Kangpokpi Town Committee; Rev K Hangshing, Chairman, Kangpokpi Town Churches Fellowship; Hemant Pandey, IPS, SP Kangpokpi; Kumar Gaurav, Post Commander, 38 AR Kangpokpi and other elected members of Kangpokpi Town Committee, KWWO, KYU, Goodwill Society and Senior Citizens at District Sports Complex campus, Kangpokpi.

After inaugurating the Kanggui Children Park by cutting ribbon at the main entry gate, ADC Sadar Hills Chairman, Haokholal Hangshing also unveiled a monolith erected to mark the inaugural ceremony inside the Park campus and inspected the park before Rev K Hangshing, Chairman, KTCF dedicated the park and invoked blessing prayer.
Lauding the commendable efforts of KWC Coordinators initiative of constructing Children Park at District Headquarters, Haokholal Hangshing said that it is well timed as the Govt also comes up with the initiative of 'No School Bag Day on every Saturday' in order to make time for life skill activities such as games and extra co-curricular activities for the students so that their learning will be more joyful and meaningful.
He continued that with the establishment and inauguration of Kanggui Children Park, school children from Class I to VIII within and outside Kangpokpi DHQs could now come and spent time along with their teachers for recreational activities and extra co-curricular activities besides having fun with the play items in the park on every Saturday to reduce excessive stress among students.
He also appealed the general public of Kangpokpi DHQs to maintain peaceful environment and ownership of the park.
Nehgoulen Lhouvum, one among the Coordinators of the KWCare said that "Today KWCare present to you 'Kanggui Children Park', the first of its kind in our District Headquarters and this is our gift to the children of Kangpokpi Town and all surrounding areas".
He said that the idea of setting up a Children park was nurtured in the minds of KWCare Coordinators and it was realised through the generous sanction of Rs 4.5 lakhs by ADC Sadar Hills under the Chairmanship of Haokholal Hangshing under town beautification programme and with the aid of many helping hands which have come forth in cash and kind during their toil and moil to get the job done proudly in less than two months.
He recalled that ADC Sadar Hills Chairman Haokholal Hangshing himself had on March 5, 2016 flagged off KWCare at Kangpokpi town with the main objective of beautifying Kangpokpi DHQs by making it cleaner, greener and healthier place to live by raising volunteers under 'Facta non Verba' (Deeds not Words) as its motto.
The KWCare Coordinator also expressed sincere gratitude to SHADC Kangpokpi and Kangpokpi Town Committee for their unanimous decision to allot land for construction of the Park while conveying heartfelt gratitude to all who come forward in lending helping hands for the work to complete successfully.
Presentation, appreciation and thanks giving marked the inaugural ceremony of Kanggui Children Park which was culminated with a prayer from Rev Y Haokip, Vice Chairman KTC.
