FCCI International Award for SMILE Film Fest Meghachandra appointed jury member

Film Critic Meghachandra Kongbam, member of International Federation of Film Critics-India Chapter (FIPRESCI-India) and member of Film Critics Circle of India (FCCI) has been appointed as Jury member for the FCCI International Award of the 8th International Film Festival for Children and Youth 2022 organized by Smile Foundation, New Delhi from 24-30 April 2022 .
Other jury members for the award are Ms.Shoma A.Chatterji who received the National Film Award for Best Film Critic in 1991 and the National Awards for Best Writing on Cinema for her book- Parama and Other Outsiders: The Cinema of Aparna Sen (2002), author of 24 books, including 12 on cinema.
A PhD in Indian cinema history, and Mr Amborish Roychoudhury who received the National Film Award in 2016 for his book- In A Cult Of Their Own: Bollywood Beyond Box Office and a Hindi film historian.
Meghachandra Kongbam received the Swarna Kamal Award in 2015 for the Best Film Critic in the 63rd National Film Awards and is the author of the book- Manipuri Cinema.
Films nominated for the award are Mezquites Heart (Mexico) directed by Anna Laura Calderon, Glass Boy (Italy, Austria, Switzerland) directed by Samuele Rossi, Dostojee (India) Prasun Chatterjee, The Blue Girl (Iran) directed by Keivan Majidi and Fritzi-A Revolutionary Tale (Germany) directed by Matthias Bruhn and Ralf Kukula.
