Series of medical camps conducted

26 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of IGAR (South) has been at the forefront in providing a helping hand to the needy villagers in the underdeveloped remote and border areas.
In yet another initiative, 26 Sector Assam Rifles conducted a series of Medical Camps from 30 Nov 2017 to 12 Jan 2018 for the benefit of 22 villages of Pallel area consisting of an ethnically diverse population of Meiteis, Nagas, Kukis and others.
A team of Assam Rifles doctors and para medical staff treated the patients tirelessly to ensure that every patient is attended.
At medical camp the Assam Rifles medical team provided basic treatment and necessary checkup to help the villagers to address their health issues and made them aware of their health status.
Under this initiative free consultation and medicines were provided to an overwhelming number of 268 villagers.
The first medical camp was organized in Nungourok on 30 Nov 2017 and 73 villagers were given medical attention.
The second medical camp was organized in Pallel on 09 Jan 2018 and saw a total of 54 villagers being given medical attention.
The third and fourth medical camp were organized in Maipou and Malnoi on 10th and 12th Jan 2018 respectively and a total of 141 villagers were attended to in both these camps.
Local populace and village authorities expressed their heartfelt gratitude for this initiative and also appreciated this gesture immensely.
Such relentless efforts of the Assam Rifles has increased the bonhomie between Security Forces and local populace and has resulted in strengthening of relation between locals and the Security Forces.
