JAC warns of intense stir

The JAC Against Attempt to Murder Dr N Gyaneshore has threatened to launch intense modes of agitation if their demands are translated into action at the earliest.
Dr Gyaneshore who is on internship at RIMS was found grievously wounded on the head inside the common toilet of RIMS boys' hostel no 2 at around 2 am of June 17 .
He is currently undergoing treatment at Shija Hospital.
Speaking to media persons at Manipur Press Club here today, JAC co-convenor RK (O) Tombisana said that they submitted representations to the Chief Minister, the Deputy Chief Minister, the DGP and the Lamphel police station to establish facts and circumstances about the brutal attack and pull up the assailants by July 3 .
Even as the deadline set by the JAC had lapsed, the Government is yet to take any satisfactory action.
Subsequently, a joint meeting of civil society organisations based in Bishnupur district was held yesterday.
The meeting resolved to launch different modes of intense agitation until justice is done and the incident is investigated by either CBI or NIA, Tombisana conveyed.
