Lockdown partially relaxed in districts, Lilong Bazar to remain closed

Deputy Commissioner, Tamenglong, Armstrong Pame has informed that all markets/shops in Tamenglong district shall remain open on April 11 from 7.30 am to 3.30 pm for sale of essential commodities to the public in view of Easter and Cheiraoba celebration.
In addition, all petrol pumps are also allowed to open for sale subject to social distancing norms, he said He further informed that sale of petrol/diesel in cans/drums or containers is not permitted except in rural areas for agricultural purposes, limit for which is 20 litres for petrol and 30 litres for diesel.
For bigger vehicles like trucks carrying essential commodities and with an official pass, 100 litres of diesel is permitted.
Distribution of cooking gas is permitted to register customers with booking from January 24 to 30, 2020, it said.
Thoubal: On the other hand, Thoubal DC has also issued similar notification pertaining to Thoubal where the sale of essential commodities to the public will be permitted from 6 am to 11 am.
However, a list of market places has been assigned to Sector Magistrates who shall make wide publicity using PA system with the help of police.
However, Lilong Bazar will be closed in the interest of general public since an area of 3 km radius around the epicentre of the positive case is in operation as containment zone, it said.
Home delivery of essential items will be done as usual by Public Grievance Cell, Lilong and other volunteers, it added.
Further, all enforcement agencies shall strictly restrict to one person per household for purchase of goods from the market to minimize movement of people outside houses.
KAKCHING : In view of Easter and Cheiraoba and in partial relaxation of curfew/lockdown, Office of the Deputy Commissioner, Kakching has issued an order whereby retail grocery shops and petrol pumps within the jurisdiction of Kakching district is permitted to open for public from 6 am to 11 am on April 11, 2020.Sale of petrol in cans and containers are prohibited, except for agricultural purposes in rural areas subject to limits of 20 litres for petrol and 40 litres for diesel.
Social distancing norms should be strictly maintained in all places including petrol pumps.
