State needs coalition govt: CPI

Taking stock of the present situation of the state, CPI Manipur State Council opted for a powerful coalition government for a peaceful coexistence.
Briefing media persons during a press meet held at Irawat Bhavan, Imphal today, Secretary, CPI Manipur State Council, L Iboyaima said that a powerful coalition government is the need of time taking in stock of the present situation of the state.
He was briefing about the party's state conference which will kicks off from June 10 .
Iboyaima said that the party will hold its state conference from June 10 to 12 at Thiyam Meghachandra Shanglen, Dr Kamal Masaikol, Regional College Ground Lilong.
The conference will discuss the various issues which the state is facing at present like price rise, territorial integration and other political issues.
The conference will also discuss for a Left Front Democratic Alliance in the state which can provide a powerful coalition government in the state.
CPI, National General Secretary AB Bardhan and other national leaders of the party will be attending the conference.
The state conference is organised after successfully organizing local and district level conferences throughout the state.
The national congress of the party which is organised every three years will be held in Bihar in 2012, he said.
L Sotinkumar said that all necessary arrangement for holding the conference has been completed.
Around 1000 participants including 450 workers, 200 volunteers and other invitees are expected to attend the conference.
