Controversy dogged recruitment results out

Results of the controversial Primary Teachers recruitment exam have been finally declared today.
The results were declared today by Principal Secretary (School Education) Dr Suresh J Babu at RMSA office, Babupara.
After the recommendations of the DPC held earlier were rejected by the State Government, an enquiry committee was constituted with the Chief Secretary as Chairman.
Based on the recommendations of the enquiry committee, another committee headed by School Education Director was constituted and it made a thorough review of the DPC results.
The committee headed by the School Education Director compiled the merit list after verifying the documents and data sheets collected from the earlier DPC and the written test, in addition to strictly adhering to reservation policies of the State, the Principal Secretary stated.
Out of the total posts of 1423 for Primary Teachers, 712 were recruited from general category.
These included 87 OBC candidates, 20 SC candidates, 44 ST candidates and 29 physically challenged candidates.
Results for recruitment of 48 Hindi Graduate Teachers and 203 Hindi Primary Teachers were also declared today.
The Principal Secretary also declared that Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) would be held at 110 centres in Imphal on September 16 .
So far, 38000 candidates have applied for the maiden TET.
Meanwhile, a press release issued by the Principal Secretary (School Education) informed that verification process of documents of those candidates selected for Graduate Teacher posts under RMSA would start from September 12 and the same process would be completed in four or five days time.
All the candidates should submit all the original documents for verification as per the schedule which would be notified in two or three days time.
Offer forms for appointment would be issued at the time of verification and the candidates should re-submit the offer forms immediately on the same day.
Candidates belonging to OBC category should produce fresh OBC certificates which should have been issued after April 30 last year, added the release.
